Dolce Gabbana Watches - The Top Men's Dolce & Gabbana Watches

men’s black band style

When looking to buy a new men’s watch, style usually trumps craftsmanship and functionality. This is the reason why designer watches are so popular and specialist watchmakers are often forced into the backseat. One of the most popular designer watchmakers, and one of the most popular design companies in general, is Dolce & Gabbana. Dolce & Gabbana watches are extremely popular not only because they are stylish and modern, but because, as far as designer watches go, they are very affordable.

Domencio Dolce and Stefano Gabbana first met in Milan, Italy in 1980. By 1982, they had opened a fashion consulting business together. They won worldwide acclaim with their first women’s clothing collection in 1985, sealing their position in fashion and history. The company later expanded into accessories that are currently sold under two brand names: Dolce & Gabbana and D&G. They are sold through company-owned boutiques and private retailers in both traditional and online stores. Some of the stores where you can find Dolce & Gabbana watches include Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom.

Dolce & Gabbana watches are currently available in 44 different lines. Each line has several designs incorporated into it. These designs range from elegant precious metals to casual leather and sports bands. All colors of the rainbow are available, but traditional black and white-faced watches with stainless steel bands are some of the most popular men’s Dolce & Gabbana watches.

Although such a large choice of men’s Dolce & Gabbana watches are available to buy, retailers overwhelmingly report a select few styles as being their bestsellers. Here are the bestselling men’s Dolce & Gabbana watches as reported by a survey of top online retailers:

D&G Men’s Prime Time Watch (DW0377)
The Prime Time DW0377 Prime Time Dolce & Gabbana watch is somewhat of an enigma. Many stores list it as a men’s watch, but a large proportion instead list it as women’s watch. It can be either, but there is no mistaking the large-face, wide-band design is of a style mostly worn by men, and the stores listing it as a men’s watch report it as one of their bestsellers. This watch was introduced in 2000. It features a round, gold-toned dial with the D&G logo emblazoned in red gemstones. The bezel of the watch is encrusted in white jewels. Hours are additionally set with larger jewels. The case and bracelet-style band are made of stainless steel but are gold-toned. The band is two-pieces and unclasps to remove. This watch uses Japanese quartz movement. It originally listed at $450, but because it is an older design, it sells for about $250 today.

D&G Carson Men’s Watch (DW0584)
The Carson line of men’s Dolce & Gabbana watches have a classic, timeless style. This line also uses Japanese quartz movement on an analog face. It features three subdials on the face for day, date, and 60-second chronograph. The face has a black center where the subdials and D&G logo are, but a dark great outer circle with a light gray 12 and 6 in Arabic numerals and baton markers in the other ten positions. The subdials have a white face with black numbers and markers. Subdial hands are black and the main hands are silver with luminous accents. The round case is polished, silver-tone stainless steel. The band is also stainless steel, alternating brushed and polished links horizontally to create a vertically striped design. This watch had an original price of $250, but it sells now for $190 or less.

D&G Men’s Chronograph Strap Watch (DW0373)
This is a casual style of watch that uses Scotch-Japanese quartz movement. It is styled in a light black that borders on dark gray. The face of the watch is sporty and features a black horizontal band on dark gray. White batons on the black stripe mark the quarter hours and three minutes on either side. Light gray batons mark the other minutes from 0 to 30 on the right, but the left side is without the baton markers. The hour and minute hands are silver toned with black inside accents and yellow tip accents. The second hand is red. There are also two subdials at the 12 and 6 positions for 60-second and 1/10-second chronographs. The band is a two-piece buckle-style made of rubber. This watch lists for $325, but it can be found for $250 or less.
