Eureka Canister Vacuum - Buying a Eureka Canister Vacuum

cleaning motor price models

Eureka is one of the most popular and most trusted names in vacuum cleaners in the world. They also hold the distinction of being one of the few companies to manufacture a full line of canister vacuums. Even though upright vacuums have become more popular, many people still prefer a classic Eureka canister vacuum. Canister vacuum cleaners are more maneuverable and much better suited for cleaning under furniture, cleaning stairs, or even cleaning walls and ceilings. A canister vacuum with a power head is also lighter and more efficient at cleaning carpets that many upright vacuums.

Although Archimedes is credited for popularizing the word Eureka (Greek for “I found it”) upon successfully testing his theory of water displacement, in 1909, that word began to take on a new meaning with the founding of the Eureka vacuum cleaner company in Detroit, Michigan. In less than 20 years, Eureka had over one-third the total market share of U.S. vacuum cleaner sales. In 1945, after a merger with another company, Eureka moved to Bloomington, Illinois and began working on manufacturing other electrical products, including the first electric car in 1961. After being purchased by Electrolux, the company was once again focused on vacuum cleaner manufacturing. Today, the classic Eureka canister vacuum is just one style of many produced by the corporation, with over 130 total models in four brand names currently being manufactured and marketed worldwide.

There are currently 11 Eureka canister vacuum models produced for sale by the company. The variety of features and power choices are made to accommodate cleaning for every situation.
