Pisa Italy Hotels - Hotels In Pisa, Italy

The Italian city Pisa is most famous for its Leaning Tower, the iconic listing campanile from which the astronomer and philosopher Galileo Galilei is said to have proven the laws of uniform acceleration by dropping balls of different weight. (The story is probably apocryphal.) However the Leaning Tower is by no means Pisa’s only attraction. Pisa is home to some of the most stunning medieval architecture in all of Europe including the Piazza dei Miracoli square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the world’s oldest continuously operating institution of higher learning, the University of Pisa, founded in 1334 by Papal edict. With its many monuments, museums, markets, piazzas, shops, restaurants and artisan workshops, this tranquil Tuscan city at the mouth of the Arno is well worth an overnight say. Fortunately there are Pisa Italy hotels and pensiones (guest-houses) at a variety of price points to make your stay a pleasant one.
