Disney World Park Hopper - Get the Most for Your Money with the Disney World Park Hopper

tickets day parks theme

If you have never been to Walt Disney World, just outside of Orlando, Florida, the first thing you should understand is that it is much more than a theme park. You may have visited Busch Gardens, Sea World, Great America, or even Disneyland in California, but none of these parks can prepare you for a trip to Disney World. Disney World is more of a city than it is a park. It is over 30,000 acres in size and includes 31 resort hotels, a campground, two health spas, a total of four complete theme parks, two water parks, and several other entertainment venues. The only way to be sure you get the most for your money is by buying Disney World Park Hopper tickets.

The four theme parks and two water parks are enough to get a week’s worth of entertainment or more for the whole family, but you don’t want to plan too much in advance because you never know when you’ll need more than one day for a single park, or when the weather is best-suited for one park over another. Disney World Park Hopper tickets allow you visit any park you would like, any number of times, for the duration of your tickets. The Disney World Park Hopper is available as an option for all tickets.

A standard one-day, one-park ticket costs $82 and the Disney World Park Hopper option for a single day is $54 for a total of $136. The price for both drops when you buy tickets for multiple days, up to a total of 10. For example, a 5-day ticket costs only $47.40 per day plus $10.80 per day for the Disney World Park Hopper option. That’s a total of only $291 for a savings of $389 over the single day tickets. You can save even more by buying tickets from licensed discount resellers, which can be found in the vicinity of Walt Disney World and online. These ticket agents provide the exact same official Disney World tickets, but give you added discounts for choosing their service.

The Disney World Park Hopper option is good only for the following four theme parks. They cannot be used for the two water parks.

Magic Kingdom
This is the original Walt Disney World theme park built in 1971. It features the iconic “Partners” statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse holding hands on the backdrop of Cinderella Castle. Other features of this 107-acre park include Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown Fair, and Tomorrowland.

Epcot is a 300-acre park centered on the iconic Spaceship Earth, the giant, dimpled orb that welcomes you to the park. It is divided into two sections. One section is Future World, showcasing the progress of technology. The other section is the World Showcase where guests can learn about world cultures through attractions and food.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios is centered on Disney’s popular feature films. It offers guests the ability to view behind-the-scenes action, take backstage tours, and take in one of the many live shows.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park
This 500-acre park highlights Disney’s efforts of natural conservation. The lush park provides a home to over 1,700 animals of 250 different species. It is the largest park in the world with an animal theme. The seven areas of the park include Oasis, Discovery Island, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Rafiki’s Planet Watch, Asia, and Dinoland.
