Blowing Rock Hotels - Different Types Of Blowing Rock Hotels

town traveler inn visit

The mountains in western North Carolina are known for their beauty, but most people don’t know where to visit in order to enjoy this wondrous scenery. The biggest city in the area is Asheville. This is a great little vibrant city with a focus on arts and music. It also features the Biltmore Estate. But if you want the small town feel, visit Blowing Rock. Blowing Rock is only one hour from Asheville, and it has many fine attractions of its own. The most popular attraction is The Blowing Rock, which is a place where you can safely walk around many different peaks and enjoy views from several thousand feet high. Most people visit for the views, but it’s also a great place to eat lunch. How often do you have an opportunity to eat lunch with the family or a special someone on top of a mountain – without having to hike? The town of Blowing Rock is also a must see. This is an upscale town that is great to walk around. There are restaurants, country shops, high-end stores, street performers, and there is also a nice park right in the center of town. Think of it as West Hampton in the mountains. Grandfather Mountain is only a short drive away. This attraction is best known for its mile-high swinging suspension bridge. It also has black bears and other animals on display – in their natural habitats. If you like to drive, the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway is within close proximity to the town of Blowing Rock. Other attractions and activities include Linville Falls, skiing, and panoramic dining.

With so much to do, there are going to be a lot of Blowing Rock hotels to choose from. If you’re coming from Charlotte, which is only two hours away, you might be tempted to stay at the Green Park Inn, which is the first Blowing Rock hotel you will see on Rt. 321. But this is not the best option. It’s actually one of the lowest rated Blowing Rock hotels, with a traveler rating of only 2.5. If you want to stay in a nice Blowing Rock hotel with suites as an option, choose the Hemlock Inn & Suites, which sports a high traveler rating of 4.5 stars. If you prefer the country vibe, go with the Mountainaire Inn and Log Cabins, which also has a 4.5-star traveler rating. Two other great Blowing Rock hotels are the Chetola Resort At Blowing Rock and the Hillwinds Inn. Both of these Blowing Rock hotels have 4-star traveler ratings.
