Florida Football Schedule - The Highs and Lows of the Florida Football Schedule

teams season game fans

At the end of every year, sad fans have to watch as their beloved college football teams finish their season and depart for almost eight months. Thankfully, there are enough games in the Florida football schedule to keep those fans occupied instead of thinking about the dreaded end of the season.

The best thing about the schedule is the fact that the spring game is always included; this means that you can look forward to football in April before waiting another five months until the season really begins. It’s just enough to keep you satisfied before the first game in early September.

Since Florida football fans are used to their team’s winning ways, the hopes of an easier schedule makes it that much more important for a trip to the national championship. However, since Florida belongs to the SEC, their schedule is always filled with top 25 opponents.

Unfortunately, Florida faces some of the toughest competition in football, especially from in-state rivals. Not only does Florida have to face the Florida State Seminoles, they also have to face the Miami Hurricanes. While the Canes may not be the same team they were in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the rivalry still brings out the best in both teams.

Mix into the Florida football schedule teams like Alabama and LSU, and you’re sure to witness some of the best defensive football ever played. The fact that at least five SEC teams are usually ranked in the top 10 in the NCAA standings gives Florida fans a nervous feeling when entering the season. Florida is in a tough eastern division and faces stiff competition from teams like South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia.

The Gators are usually able to handle anything the Florida football schedule throws at them, and it’s highly unlikely for them to miss a post-season bowl game. Regardless of the competition, Florida knows how to win and their chance of having a losing record is quite low. Given the circumstances, it’s almost likely that Florida will continue to be the team to beat in the SEC East Division.

Hopefully at the end of the Florida football schedule, the Gators will have secured a spot in a bowl game due to a winning record; they may even be competing for the national championship. If they can overcome their adversaries, there is no reason to think they won’t be crowned champions at the end of the year.
