KALG00RLIE, a mining town of Western Australia, 24 M. by rail E.N.E. of Coolgardie. Pop. (1901), 6652. Itis a thriving town with an electric tramway service, and is the junction of four lines of railway. The gold-field, discovered in 1893, is very rich, supporting about 15,000 miners. The town is supplied with water, like Coolgardie, from a source near Perth 36o m,. distant.
